The Lagos State Law Reform Commission invites written submissions from stakeholders and members of the public on the following ongoing reviews:
Review of Administrator-General Law, Administration of Estates and Trust Laws
This review examines the legal framework governing the administration of deceased estates and trusts in Lagos State. It focuses on: the role of the Administrator-General in cases where there is no will or no competent executor; probate and letters of administration procedures; and statutory and common law regulation of trusts. The review seeks to strengthen efficiency, transparency, and protection of beneficiaries in line with contemporary social and economic realities.

Review of Physical Planning Sector Laws
This review examines existing physical planning and urban development control laws, as well as institutional roles and responsibilities. Submissions are invited to support reforms aimed at promoting orderly urban development, improving compliance with planning standards, strengthening environmental sustainability, and enhancing service delivery in line with Lagos State's urban growth strategy.

Review of Tourism Sector Laws
This review focuses on laws regulating tourism, hospitality, and recreational activities, including relevant institutional frameworks. Stakeholders are invited to submit views to help: identify regulatory gaps, promote private sector investment, improve service standards, protect cultural and natural heritage assets, and support sustainable tourism development.

Lagos State Senior Citizens' Bill
In line with the National Senior Citizens Act, this Bill aims to create a comprehensive framework for: protection and welfare of older persons, access to healthcare and social services, and promotion of dignity, inclusion, and active ageing. Stakeholders are invited to contribute ideas to help shape an effective and compassionate legal framework for senior citizens in Lagos State.

This consultation reviews the legal and regulatory framework governing: radio broadcasting, television services, and digital broadcasting platforms. The review aims to modernise the sector, strengthen regulatory oversight, and encourage responsible private sector investment.

Harmonisation of Lagos State's Fiscal Governance
This publication examines the legal and institutional framework governing fiscal administration in Lagos State, with a focus on harmonising revenue laws, enforcement mechanisms, and inter-agency coordination. The review seeks to streamline fiscal governance structures across MDAs, eliminate regulatory overlaps and institutional conflicts, and strengthen transparency, accountability, and compliance.
