Deputy Director, Legislative Drafting
Mr. David, a graduate of Law from the Lagos State University (LASU), was called to the Nigerian Bar in 2006 after completing the mandatory one year call to bar programme. He is a holder of a Master's Degree in Legislative Drafting from the Nigerian Institute of Advanced Legal Studies and currently undergoing his Doctor of Philosophy (PHD) programme at the same Institute in collaboration with the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife.
He joined the service of Lagos State in 1995 from the Cabinet Office as a Clerical Officer before enrolling at LASU in 1998 for his Law Degree. Upon completion of his Law programme and the mandatory Call to Bar at the Law School, he converted from the Clerical Cadre to Law Officers Cadre on Grade Level 9. He rose through the ranks to his present post of Deputy Director, Grade Level 16.
Following the various trainings undertaken locally and internationally, Mr. David has become skillful in the art of drafting modern and robust legislation. He is a dedicated, adaptable and responsible person.
Aside from carrying out his core legislative drafting duties for the Lagos State Government, Mr. David in 2011 participated in the process of drafting the Regulation guiding the affairs of the Nigeria Governors' Forum.
He is married with children.
