Olukemi Sowemimo (Mrs)

Olukemi Sowemimo (Mrs) is a State Counsel with the Lagos State Law Reform Commission, where she is currently serving as Director and Head of the Legal Drafting and Policy Advisory Unit.

She has built her career around Public Sector and policy development, with a strong interest in good governance, institutional reform, and regulatory alignment. Before joining the public service, she had brief stint in the private sector with the Rank Xerox (Nig) Ltd and the Churchgate Group.

Her professional experience spans diverse areas of law, including Wills and Estate administration, taxation and revenue policy, public prosecution and land administration. As former Deputy Registrar of Titles, she contributed to several policy initiatives in Lagos State Lands Registry.

With over twelve years of experience of drafting Laws for Lagos State, Olukemi has played a vital role in legislative reforms aimed at strengthening social justice, regulatory efficiency and community development.

Olukemi Sowemimo is passionate about using Law as a tool for inclusive governance and sustainable growth that brings about social justice and good governance, she is passionate about making Lagos State achieve its full potentials through the rule of Law.
